Grok Imagine is xAI’s media generation family covering image and video endpoints. It is designed for teams that want to add visual generation to existing Grok API workflows without splitting providers for reasoning and media output.

Current Lineup

At this snapshot date, xAI documentation identifies three current model identifiers for API usage:

• grok-imagine-image for standard image generation and editing.
• grok-imagine-image-quality for higher-realism image generation and editing with stronger text rendering and tighter prompt following.
• grok-imagine-video for video generation and editing.

The older grok-imagine-image-1212 and grok-imagine-video-1212 pages are retained as legacy snapshots because earlier repo content and integrations may still reference them.
