Runway Gen-4.5 is Runway’s current flagship video generation model. Runway announced it on December 1, 2025, and the current product and API docs expose it as both a web product capability and an API model ID: gen4.5.

The distinction matters because Runway is now a multi-model creative suite, while Gen-4.5 is the specific Runway-native video route to choose when quality, prompt adherence, and cinematic control matter more than cheap draft speed.
